Famous Pear Cake Updated (again):-)

My sweetest neighbor gave me a beautiful bag of fresh pears!! Holy Moly. (Did she know about my famous Pear Cake?) Well she does now!! The original 2011 ever so popular Pear cake.

And it’s finally baking time as autumn officially arrived here in Heatville and it’s “somewhat” cooler in the kitchen. I have been wanting to try a vegan version of the Pear Cake for quite some time. Yes, THAT pear cake. So I searched for some options and liked the one using the Chia Seed egg substitute. I tried it out on those lovely neighbors of mine and so far I think this cake is still a success. Let me know your thoughts. Sorry If you’re on a diet, I suggest you might want to try starting next week!! Sadly it’s quite addicting. :-)

The Pear Cake:

Ingredients:

3 Cups All Purpose Flour

1 Cup Brown Sugar

1 Cup Granulated Sugar

1½ Teaspoon Baking Soda
½ Teaspoon Salt
½ Teaspoon Ground Cloves
½ Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
2 Teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
¼ Cup Molasses

2 Teaspoons Almond Extract

1 Cup Vegetable Oil

3 Tbl spoons Chia Seeds with 9-12 Tbl water (or 3 large eggs)
3 Cups Diced Pear

Preheat oven to 350˚. Thoroughly grease & flour a large bundt pan. Mix Chia seeds with water. If the consistency becomes too gel like, sprinkle with water until you get the mix like a thick soup!

In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, and granulated sugar. Mix in brown sugar, breaking up any clumps. Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients and mix in oil, chia seeds mixture, vanilla or almond extract and molasses. The batter will be quite thick. Fold in the diced pears being careful to not break up the fruit too much.

Spoon the cake batter into the greased bundt pan and spread the mixture evenly. Bake for approximately 1 hour or until a tooth pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 20 minutes before inverting on to a plate.

This cake needs no glaze just giggles. It’s simply delicious without anything but a little sprinkle of powdered sugar and good friends! Simple Sundays!

Bon Appétit!

“A National Vaccine Pass Has Quietly Rolled Out” – And Few Noticed

by Hailey Sanibel –

Despite predictable rollbacks to federal, state, and local mandates in the wake of trucker convoys and deflating poll numbers for Democrats, there has nevertheless been a quiet effort to institute questionable technology with devastating future consequences.

The obvious and concerning question ought to be: If Covid is going away (and it is, for all intents and purposes), then why are we just now introducing and implementing QR-code technology that can house one;’s vaccination status? The article eerily answers that question in a way that should alert everyone’s Spidey senses.

The propaganda from Forbes ran with the headline “A National Vaccine Pass Has Quietly Rolled Out – And Red States Are Getting On Board” and began with a glaring contradiction:

“Even as the omicron variant loosens its grip on the world, destinations continue to require travelers to show proof of vaccination. And, increasingly, a paper CDC vaccination card is not cutting it.”

Statements like these are patently false. For starters, technology-based information is inherently better than paper? How is that exactly?

Secondly, how many countries have abandoned restrictions altogether? Countries like Iceland, which is experiencing the highest case and death rates ever recorded since the pandemic’s outbreak despite a 90%+ adult vaccinated rate and two years of restrictive measures, are nevertheless recognizing the futility of continued lockdowns, masking, and vaccinating. New Zealand has effectively lived under martial law and is likewise witnessing the greatest single case surge since Covid was identified. In other words, these fancy vaccine passports mean and do nothing, medically speaking.

The most frightening tidbit is saved for the end of the article. While true that Covid is seemingly on the verge of being a thing of the past, there is a concerted effort to wish for another pandemic. Both Forbes and Bill Gates make sure we don’t forget a new, scary virus is lurking just around the corner. I’ll start with the article, which ran the final portion under the heading “this won’t be the last pandemic.” Gee, you don’t say.

Lastly, having a vaccine verification system in place prepares the U.S. for the next coronavirus variant as well as the inevitability of a future pandemic.

Today the main threat to our health and economy remains the omicron variant, says Anderson. “But it’s going to be pi in a couple months, and it’s going to be the same situation. Yes, we’re going to get to an endemic phase of all of this, but that doesn’t change the need to continue to protect the citizens of a nation from highly transmissible and communicable diseases.”

‘“Vaccination verification will be increasingly important at an international level,” Anderson says. “And so if we want to enable all of our citizens from every state to be able to participate in the safe travel across international boundaries and to participate in international commerce, it’d be important for our government officials from every state to enable this.’”

You know you’re reprinting Pravda when you extensively quote the guy – Dr. Brain Anderson – who leads the way in ensuring adequate means exist to imprison the world’s citizens with technological chains through the international business-government conglomerate Vaccine Credential Initiative (VCI). . As the article notes, VCI is “a global coalition of public and private stakeholders including Microsoft, Salesforce, Oracle, the Mayo Clinic and other health and tech heavyweights.” Yep, not scary at all.

Although the article is big on positives, not mentioned anywhere are the drawbacks. I’ll just name one: Loss of freedom. Does anyone need more proof that this tool could be weaponized so fast against what is deemed as noncompliance and nonconformists? As everything becomes digitized (always for our convenience, we are told), what would it take to have to scan in to dine out? To get groceries? To go to the bank? To apply for a job? To deposit a mobile check? To enter an emergency room? To file taxes or to qualify for your tax refund?

I have a different idea: No medical records of any kind need to be shown. Ever. Let’s start there.

Smart meters “Take Back your Power”

I wrote years ago on Smart Meters and am sadly surprised it’s still an unknown to many. Recently I was at a friends house in Texas and he’d never heard of it. I went out and checked his meter. Sure enough. Here is one of my favorite Documentary’s on the topic. It’s very thorough and worth your time. It’s also quite appropriate in today’s climate of what they plan on doing to us. Please, please share and uninstall your meter immediately. Those gone before you have taken the punches and lost loved ones. It’s an oldy but a goody! Push Back.

Today’s hero Bev Harris

Since I’m “Stuck in Seattle again” (saddle…Seattle..!)! I’m thinking of a new series called Daily Heroes. In step with the current political nightmare of elections, Bev has been working tirelessly since 2002 on behalf of The American People’s Voice in fair elections.

Have we even Ever had a fair election? Selections are made years in advance. Please enjoy this video (the audio quality is poor) but you get the idea this has been going on for decades. I had posted my praise of Bev’s work back in 2016 unwittingly as a heads up this deceitful practice. Of course, they have deleted it because it might make a difference. We are losing our platforms and our voices are not being heard.

Please weigh in and share. We need to be the change. Agenda 2025 is just around the corner. Buckle up, the world is counting on us! Whoopi-ty-aye-yay .

Truth for the Brave & Courageous

Dear America,

22 States and counting shutting down! Seriously!?!? It’s time for PUSH BACK. I am speaking to Our Nation. We are at a critical impasse in our history and you are losing every last bit of Freedom that has been so dearly fought for. The people so many listen to each day are taking every last breath you make, every last dime you can pocket, and every last peaceful nights rest you and your forefathers (and Thousands of innocent men and women) have fought tirelessly to educate you about. Heartlessly punishing you for their greed and control. Do not give them the satisfaction of your time and intelligence on a second lock down. Push Back!

Please say NO to a second lock down. It will be disastrous. I implore you to do the research. Research is not coming home at night and pushing a button on your Television. That’s called Programming for a reason. You have tools at your fingertips. Be brave and courageous and look Truth straight in the face. You don’t have to be a Warrior to be brave, but you do have to put fear aside. Seek the Truth. It’s not for the faint of heart. Just be brave.

Push Back on a second lock down. Too many lives and too many businesses have been closed and killed. Are you OK with that? They are lying about the numbers, they are lying about social distance. They’ve been lying for decades. Watch as they celebrate divide and conquer. Don’t believe me? Look at history, it’s in a ferocious accelerated REpeat! Yeah, that’s not good.

Don’t let them Shut us down. Murdoch & Company does not call our shots. Literally. Guess what, Freedom isn’t Free if you let them continue to hoodwink you. Shame on you if you think it’s not happening. Fear is a dangerous master.

When in the course of Modern Day Existence, Good intentions become obsolete in the absence of Truth and Courage.  Ah, when good men & women do nothing. PUSH back!

Be Investigative, interested, inspired, intelligent and most importantly INTUITIVE! God gave you  gut feeling and free will, don’t let them take that too. If You don’t have your health you have absolutely nothing. Just Search the destruction these masks do. Mentally and Physically. It’s NOT hard to find.

PUSH BACK. Keep your family close and take your lives and your holidays back.

PUSH BACK AMERICA, you got this! Please Make a difference, we can’t do this without each other. The WHOLE WORLD IS COUNTING ON US!

God Bless,

Kathleen

Pickling Eggs

In search of prolonging my egg supply I dove into some recipes that would lengthen the life span of my eggs. I grabbed a few recipes and now the results are in!

I picked this recipe up from “Shotgun Red” on yt and it was my favorite so far but had a few drawbacks. Nothing major but good to know. The major perk…….It Smells Like Christmas!! Oh la la! It’s worth the aroma if nothing else. This recipe has lovely beets in it making the red just as festive for the holidays. The recipe is to last 2 weeks, but I think I erred and opened them up at 3 weeks. Made the outside a tad rubbery so maybe not what you want on your Easter plate, but incredible for egg salad. I kid you not!

Place beet juice, sugar, water , spices and vinegar in saucepan and bring to boil for 3 minutes. Cool. Layer onion slices, beets and eggs in canning jars. Easy Peasy! Good for 2 weeks. I was going for shelf life, go for the aroma and zingy salad! Christmas smells anytime!

Pickled Eggs:

15 oz can of Beets

1/2 Cup of Sugar

1/2 Cup of Water

1/2 Cup of White Vinegar

1/2 teaspoon of Pickling spices

One Onion sliced (my addition and the best part)

Pickled Eggs and Beets
Christmas Egg Salad

Yogurt, pear and cardamom cake

‘My Common Table’ posted this dish awhile ago. But I found it buried in a search for yogurt recipes. Her photos, sense of writing and this recipe will cheer your day. I love this recipe. It’s so easy, quick and makes the house smell like pure comfort.

Give it a try and check out her beautiful website.

  • Butter to grease the pan
  • 250g plain yogurt (1 1/4 cups)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 125ml vegetable oil (1/2 cup)
  • 300g sugar (1 1/2 cup)
  • 210g all-purpose flour + a little more to dust the pan (1 3/4 cup)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1-2 pears, thinly sliced
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350º F. Grease a spring form (22 cm) with butter and dust with flour.
  2. In a large bowl, add the yogurt, eggs, vegetable oil and sugar and stir well. Add the flour, baking powder and cardamom and stir until the flour is incorporated into the batter.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and carefully arrange the pear slices on top. Scatter the sliced almonds over the cake. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the cake is baked (if you insert a toothpick in the middle, it will come out clean). Allow to cool for 15 minutes and unmold. Dust with powdered sugar.
